Most Disliked

Some diners have pointed out that certain dishes lack the authenticity often expected from Korean cuisine. While favorites like the Budae Jjigae are well-received, items like the kimchi pancake have received criticism for being too plain or dry. A few reviews mention that despite the engaging environment, peak times can lead to longer wait times, especially on busy weekend evenings. Some guests feel that adjustments could enhance the overall flavor profile of specific dishes, yearning for a bit more spice or depth.

Delicious bimbibap, one beef and one chicken. Chicken popcorn was great for the kids. Excellent portion size, good value for money. Dumplings were also very nice. Restaurant was fun inside with neon and crazy mirrored wall. Staff were very friendly.

Had a great experience at Joomak! The food was great, we had never tried seaweed rolls before but they were amazing. I’ve had Korean food at a number of different restaurants and this one is definitely up there with the best for me. Definitely will return to try some of the other items on the menu. I highly recommend the rose tteokbokki, great portion size and great flavours.

As a new opened restaurant, it is so clean and tidy up place. Decoration is nice and spacious! Staffs are friendly and efficient! However, food which I ordered were not really authentic Korean taste! The kimchi pancake was so plain and dried! The hot pot charged 25£ but it so big pot and full-filled topping, it was so nice! I also were impressed by their big portions, food were not pricey at all, that may be the reason why they are busy and I could see people were happy with that. Next time if I visit Sheffield again, absolutely be back.

A Wonderful Find... We were thrilled to discover this gem. The dumplings and beef bibimbap were absolutely delicious - easily on par with the meals we enjoyed during our time in South Korea. We were also excited to find Milkis, our favourite Korean soft drink, on the menu! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an authentic feel, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning on our next visit to Sheffield.

Went on a Wednesday evening, wasn’t too busy- We had Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew), corn dog and tornado potatoes. The Budae Jjigae was just the right amount of spicy and I particularly enjoyed the beef and the broth. The ramen and rice sticks were filling! My son liked the corn dog and potato tornado

My wife and I called in, close to closing time, following a busy day in the city centre. The staff we more than happy to seat and serve us even though there was less than 40 mins to closing. The restaurant is wonderfully themed and spotlessly clean through out. The menu is varied with all sorts of options. We chose the Korean secret sauce chicken and chips and the Korean sweet and sour sauce chicken. Both were perfectly cooked (crispy chicken on the outside, lovely and soft inside and juicy) the sauces just added to the flavour. The Korean sweet and sour was the better sauce(both were excellent). The staff were lovely and friendly, food came quickly from ordering. We absolutely would visit again, and you should visit too!

First time having Korean food and it didn’t disappoint! The honey and garlic chicken was divine! The fried squid was nice, the Japchae had a very nice balance of beef, noodles, and vegetables! The waitress was very nice in telling us to get rice with the Soegogi Bokkeum to balance out the spice! Definitely recommend - the food was so fresh.
